Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Márcio de Toledo started the match with the kick off. Olívio Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Amaral in the 5th minute of the match. João Francisco Bastos's late challenge caught a Vascao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Francisco Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Descarreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Bastos. João Vítor Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Lima having to interfere. In the 9th minute Nilmar Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Claudinei Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Amaral in the 11th minute of play. Nilmar Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Lima having to interfere. Olívio Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Paiva in the 21st minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Arnaldo Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vascao and the Descarreiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnaldo Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Descarreiro FC's Márcio de Toledo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Descarreiro FC's Márcio de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovanni Cordeiros short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Waldemar Furlan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Waldemar Furlan was a little too slow when Márcio de Toledo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. Descarreiro FC's Márcio de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Vítor Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Paiva in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilmar Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Lima having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Descarreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Ramalho. Olívio Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Paulo José Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Olívio Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Paiva in the 62nd minute of play. Olívio Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, João Vítor Paiva notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Descarreiro FC's Olívio Lima. Olívio Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes in the game, João Vítor Paiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Olívio Lima having to interfere. Vascao's Waldemar Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Cordeiro in the 72nd minute of play. Olívio Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Paiva in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Vítor Paiva in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Lima saved Descarreiro FC from getting behind. Nilmar Amaral struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Olívio Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascao. With 83 minutes on the clock, Ezequiel Pitta commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Descarreiro FC! In the 85th minute of the game, Vascao got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Geovanni Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Geovanni Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Descarreiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nilmar Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
