João Carlos Dante's late challenge caught a Paratipe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Carlos Dante helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes KloseFC got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Dante. Sabino da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aírton Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caitano Sobrino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Velasco in the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Marcos Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. KloseFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aírton Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silas Velasco made a kick off. A collision led to KloseFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Pedro Borges hit a great ball. Marcos Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Arantes having to interfere. Paratipe's Pedro Paulo Albuquerque shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Caitano Sobrino but with some difficulty. Paratipe's Aírton Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Ceresso in the 69th minute of play. KloseFC's Sabino da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sabino da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Arantes having to interfere. Silas Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aírton Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Ceresso in the 96th minute of play.
