An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Luz in the 13th minute of play forced Joffily's goalkeeper Rony Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Joffily got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Duarte. Cesinha Trancoso hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Toscano in the 18th minute of play. When Gino Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bad Karma AA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Dantas couldn't finish the play. Rony Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Dantas in the 22nd minute of play. Cesinha Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rony Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Dantas struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Rony Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bad Karma AA. The supporters of Joffily booed when Bad Karma AA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bad Karma AA's Leopoldo Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Bad Karma AA from getting a goal against them. Cesinha Trancoso hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Raphael Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerônimo Duarte during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Jerônimo Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Laerte Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rony Veiga was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If Raphael Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Luz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Raphael Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Bad Karma AA getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Laerte Carioca hit a great ball. Jerônimo Duarte hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Rony Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Joffily's goalkeeper Rony Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laerte Carioca. After 67 minutes, Clóvis Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joffily and the Bad Karma AA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Joffily getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Clóvis Lopez hit a great ball. Raphael Luz struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Rony Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bad Karma AA. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Carioca got free with Rony Veiga in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rony Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Carioca in the 72nd minute of the match. Fausto Koehler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. Fausto Koehler hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Laerte Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Laerte Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bad Karma AA's supporters rose to their feet, but Laerte Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesinha Trancosos short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Rony Veiga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 87 minutes into the match, Bad Karma AA's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Duarte came free, but Leopoldo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Bad Karma AA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Laerte Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Cesinha Trancoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rony Veiga.
