Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raimundo Alvarenga got the match started through his kick off. Fernão de Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danilo Pinheiro went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Carlos Fernando Senna came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Mirilandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Fernando Senna couldn't finish the play. If Danilo Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernão de Sena came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Varnhagen's Tiago de Senna. But to his dismay, Tiago de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 17th minute Danilo Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernão de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Raimundo Alvarenga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arí Bezerra. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Hoffmann in the 24th minute of play forced Mirilandia's goalkeeper Fernão de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernão de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Pinheiro in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Gualter Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernão de Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 36 minutes of play, Varnhagen's Jonathan Bastos made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernão de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernão de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Mirilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Sampaio came free, but Fernão de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirilandia's Fernão de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Pinheiro in the 43rd minute of play. Fernão de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualter Hoffmann scored 1-5 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernão de Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Mirilandia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Varnhagen were winning 1-5.

Carlos Fernando Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Arí Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Wilian Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varnhagen the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Mirilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Gualter Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute Danilo Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernão de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Danilo Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varnhagen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Reyes Cooper hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Fernão de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Pinheiro in the 71st minute of the match. Fernão de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernão de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Pinheiro in the 80th minute. After 80 minutes, Manolo Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mirilandia and the Varnhagen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Mirilandia got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Gaspar. Danilo Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fernão de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manolo Gaspar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. Varnhagen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
