The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Acácio Cerezo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Uruguaiana FC's Nicolas Linares. Nicolas Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uruguaiana FC's Dagoberto do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Carapotos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Zonta to maneuver through the defense. If Dagoberto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Robinho Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilian Ramos was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Dagoberto do Nascimento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dagoberto do Nascimento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 25th minute of the match Carapotos got a corner. Uruguaiana FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dida da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Dagoberto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilian Ramos was a little too slow when Samuca de Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. If Dagoberto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Ramos having to interfere. When Dagoberto do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Uruguaiana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Cerezo to make the kick off. Carapotos's Edmílson Zonta shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nicolas Linares but with some difficulty. In the 56th minute, Nilson Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Dagoberto do Nascimento put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wilian Ramos. Wilian Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto do Nascimento in the 65th minute of the match. Nicolas Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Acácio Cerezo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 69 minute of play. A collision led to Uruguaiana FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nilson Teixeira hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguaiana FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Carapotos. Dida da Rocha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicolas Linares. 3-3. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguaiana FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, João Francisco de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Genílson Matorin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Nicolas Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Robinho Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Uruguaiana FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carapotos's performance. The match ended with a win for Carapotos.
