A very good chance. Cristóvão Souto had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tomás Zilles from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. José Vítor Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Luciano dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Zilles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute of the match Alfredão Maciel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristóvão Souto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Freire in the 61st minute of play forced Subauma SS's goalkeeper Roger Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano dos Santos in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roger Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Porto during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnaldo Porto hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Subauma SS's zone, Noel Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Carneiro came out of the goal and Noel Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Subauma SS's Roger Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Subauma SS from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the game, one of Subauma SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute Tomás Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, José Vítor Cerezo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Roger Carneiro threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for José Vítor Cerezo this time. 92 minutes into the game, Noel Freire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Carneiro. Noel Freire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The Caropanatuba EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caropanatuba EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
