Valdemar Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Valdemar Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marcos Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the MeninZin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Vieira couldn't finish the play. When Kléber Maranhense fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enjeitado's protests and gave Kléber Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, MeninZin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Vieira to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, MeninZin's Marcos Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After having played for 46 minutes, Kléber Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Enjeitado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

With a little luck, Enjeitado's Valdemar Nunes got control of the ball when Naldo Britto tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Enjeitado getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kléber Maranhense hit a great ball. Marcos Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute.
