But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durvalino Tróia couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, hokucho pitbulls's Baldomero Varioz got control of the ball when Fabinho Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st match minute, hokucho pitbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Bernardo Reinke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pancudo EC's Eliézer Carneiro. Eliézer Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Bernardo Reinke came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the hokucho pitbulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Reinke couldn't finish the play. If Bernardo Reinke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durvalino Tróia made a kick off. Durvalino Tróia struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Baldomero Varioz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pancudo EC. Edmundo Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 66th minute, Marcel Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marcos Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, hokucho pitbulls's Bernardo Reinke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over hokucho pitbulls could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pancudo EC throughout the match.
