Egídio Dracena in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fiori Meira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fiori Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Mattos in the 25th minute of play. With his leg Fiori Meira managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Ipueiras's Egídio Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clóvis Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Rosa having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Zanette in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alan Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Mattos in the 46th minute of play forced Castro Alves FC's goalkeeper Fiori Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Castro Alves FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Batista to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute, Egídio Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Castro Alves FC's Clóvis Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clóvis Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kauan da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alan Rosa having to make a save. The supporters of Ipueiras booed when Castro Alves FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Patrick Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Castro Alves FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Mattos came free, but Fiori Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Castro Alves FC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Dracena came free, but Fiori Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
