After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, João Carlos Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linda's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Valle in the 4th minute of play. Cacá Messias struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Remo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ABANDONADO. Luiz Fabiano Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Remo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute João Carlos Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomás Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Linda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Ferraz couldn't finish the play. Pedrinho Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Valle in the 40th minute of the match. If Cacá Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cacá Messias to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Linda's Tomás Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrinho Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. João Carlos Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Varela having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Linda's Emerson Rodrigues got a free kick in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cacá Messias took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Remo Fonseca to make any attempt to save it. Pedrinho Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tomás Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Pedrinho Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 96 in the game by Geraldo Gomes from a close distance when the talented Remo Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Linda's players were relieved. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
