Gernando Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Caparao SS's Breno Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Caparao SS from getting a goal against them. Caparao SS's Acácio do Nascimento suffered a fractured collar bone after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Cabral during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, one of pacembu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for pacembu. After 35 minutes of play, Caparao SS's Gugu Neiva made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gernando Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oscar Freitas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gernando Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caparao SS. The Caparao SS fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Caparao SS's Gugu Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. Acácio Lago hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Gugu Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gernando Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Caparao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Cosme to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Caparao SS's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Dracena came free, but Breno Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gugu Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Caparao SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Neiva couldn't finish the play. Gernando Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Neiva in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute Bernardinho Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caparao SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
