Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Caetano Macedo kicked off to start the match. Jefferson Mangueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Délio Soares went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Délio Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jefferson Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cervinho's zone, Manuel Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Mangueira came out of the goal and Manuel Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gualter Massa's late challenge caught a Gomaticum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualter Massa helped the player get up and apologised. 22 minutes into the game, one of Cervinho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. André Queiroz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Luiz Fabiano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Queiroz got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fabiano Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Mangueira was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Soares in the 36th minute of play forced Cervinho's goalkeeper Jefferson Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cervinho's Jefferson Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Soares in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Cervinho got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Dantas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Barbosa in the 47th minute of play forced Cervinho's goalkeeper Jefferson Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
With a little luck, Cervinho's Jefferson Mangueira got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mazinho Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mazinho Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Gomaticum got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Marinho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fabiano Barbosa got free with Jefferson Mangueira in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Délio Soares sped through Cervinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jefferson Mangueira. In the 68th match minute, Gomaticum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Marinho to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, João Adolfo do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luiz Fabiano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gomaticum's Luiz Fabiano Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Délio Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Caetano Macedo fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cervinho's protests and gave Caetano Macedo a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Cervinho got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Macedo. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jefferson Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gomaticum. If Nilson Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cervinho fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gomaticum were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
