Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Loureiro to make the kick off. Só Tapa Fc's Oscar Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Paes in the 54th minute of play. Oscar Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When Jacinto Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Só Tapa Fc's protests and gave Jacinto Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Só Tapa Fc got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Teixeira. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Loureiro in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Guedes saved Só Tapa Fc from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Carlos Augusto Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Só Tapa Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marquinhos Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Sílvio Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Turvinia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Só Tapa Fc the free kick. After 75 played minutes Turvinia got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Cosme. The supporters of Turvinia booed when Só Tapa Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Loureiro in the 87th minute of play. Murillo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edmundo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Edmundo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turvinia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Paulinho Paes came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Turvinia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Paes couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Turvinia were the better team. Turvinia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
