In the 15th minute, Franklin Pitta made a precise shot to the right of Ulisses Peres. Maribu AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maribu AD's Ulisses Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Pitta in the 21st minute of play. Emílio de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Acácio Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Pernambucano in the 28th minute of play. Ulisses Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franklin Pitta's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Iguaiba FC's Franklin Pitta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Maribu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Pitta came free, but Ulisses Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulisses Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Pitta in the 41st minute of the match. Hamílton Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamílton Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Maribu AD booed when Iguaiba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acácio Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half Iguaiba FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franklin Pitta was the one to do the kick off. Róbson Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ulisses Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maribu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Róbson Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Róbson Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Róbson Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. If Emílio de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Iguaiba FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maribu AD throughout the match.
