Dieguinho Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dieguinho Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Diamentina EC! Diamentina EC's Vinícius de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Cosme in the 10th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Kauã Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamentina EC's Vinícius de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Carlos Fernando Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durval Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Cocaes AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Pires to maneuver through the defense. Michel de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Iuri Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel da Fonseca hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Fellipe Cosme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinícius de Senna was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Michel de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Carlos Fernando Machado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iuri Tavares, passed just outside the right post. Kauã Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius de Senna having to interfere. Vinícius de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Cosme in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Novaes during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney Novaes hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Diamentina EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kauan de Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time Cocaes AD's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Fellipe Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cocaes AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinícius de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Cosme in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Machado made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Cocaes AD got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Zanette. Vinícius de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeu Bueno's late challenge caught a Diamentina EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. Tadeu Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Vítor Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iuri Tavares. Cocaes AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Iuri Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Machado in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Cosme in the 62nd minute of play forced Diamentina EC's goalkeeper Vinícius de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinícius de Senna made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Kauã Diniz sent off a good shot on target. Kauã Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vinícius de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Cocaes AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauan de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Tavares having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Cocaes AD got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Diniz. In the 91st minute Michel de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Fernando Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iuri Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
