A very good chance for a goal. Vinícius de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Pena in the 36th minute of the match. Vinícius de Senna made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Pedrinho Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Cacador's Vinícius de Senna threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antônio Carlos Pena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vinícius de Senna was a little too slow when Antônio Carlos Pena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After having played for 57 minutes, Michel de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamentina EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vinícius de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th match minute, Diamentina EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vinícius de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel de Queirós in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dé Sena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Diamentina EC booed when Cacador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Pedrinho Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
