Gonçalo Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Carioca in the 3rd minute of play. João Paulo Salgado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonçalo Barros having to make a save. In the 8th minute, Charles Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori de Barros having to interfere. Gonçalo Barros didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Fiori de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Basílio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trios EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Vasconcelos in the 33rd minute of play forced Maracaju SC's goalkeeper Fiori de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maracaju SC's Fiori de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Prado in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Basílio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trios EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Maracaju SC's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Vasconcelos came free, but Fiori de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Paulo Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 56th minute, Raphael Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Trios EC got a freekick which was hit by Jean Quintal. Juninho Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fiori de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Vasconcelos in the 72nd minute of play forced Maracaju SC's goalkeeper Fiori de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When João Adolfo Martins fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trios EC's protests and gave João Adolfo Martins a yellow card for diving instead. Christiano Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Barros having to interfere. Gonçalo Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maracaju SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Trios EC for a fine match.
