An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Mesquita in the 18th minute of play forced South United's goalkeeper Rafa Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Victor Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Botelho struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Matheus Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South United. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Andrézinho Vergílio put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd play minute Oscar Cearense came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Matheus Penha. 3-0.

South United's Rafa Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Favoretto in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, South United's goalkeeper Rafa Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Gustavo Mesquita. Matheus Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Oscar Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Gustavo Mesquita got free with Rafa Carvalho in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fábio Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mirando SS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Rossi hit a great ball. Matheus Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Luiz Gustavo Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mirando SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for South United.
