Magno Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Freitas in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Vágner Marquez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Platina SC's Magno Nunes. Magno Nunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Magno Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Misercordia defense, Leopoldo Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomás Zilles. The Misercordia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomás Zilles should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Leopoldo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomás Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Leal in the 30th minute of the match. Vágner Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Cláudio Leal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Thomás Zilles, passed just outside the right post. Leopoldo Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Pinheiro during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Misercordia's Remo Pinheiro got a free kick in the 36th minute.

Cláudio Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Zilles having to interfere. Vágner Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Platina SC booed when Misercordia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Platina SC's Leopoldo Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Britto in the 66th minute of play forced Misercordia's goalkeeper Thomás Zilles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Thomás Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vágner Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Leal in the 77th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, Platina SC's Cláudio Leal made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás Zilles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thomás Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Leal in the 83rd minute of play. Platina SC's Cláudio Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leopoldo Britto came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Platina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Britto couldn't finish the play. Remo Pinheiro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Platina SC fully deserved thier win.
