The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Souzania AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Frank Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Vides in the 6th minute of the match. Egídio Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Vencaia SC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Conrado Varela hit a great ball. The supporters of Vencaia SC booed when Souzania AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Souzania AD's Maurinho Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Xavier in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Xavier in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurinho Queiroz saved Souzania AD from getting behind. Frank Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Souzania AD getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Alan Pontes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Romário Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vencaia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurinho Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Renato Perez made a kick off. If Romário Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Alvarenga in the 92nd minute of play forced Souzania AD's goalkeeper Maurinho Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Renato Perez hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Vencaia SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
