The audience was convinced that Murilo Hames's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gugu Martins was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. The goalkeeper, Gugu Martins, was totally fooled by Quantigua AD's Aleandro Gomes, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Teodoro Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Mendes's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Murilo Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Martins having to interfere. Quantigua AD's Noel Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Murilo Hames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quantigua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Hames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Anselmo Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Larica F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Mendes couldn't finish the play. After 32 minutes, Anselmo Mendes made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Quantigua AD's Teodoro Nunes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute, Anselmo Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Quantigua AD booed when Larica F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aleandro Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gugu Martins. Larica F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When Larica F.C's Toninho Mendes in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quantigua AD's goalie prevented a goal. Toninho Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Nunes having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Bebeto Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Quantigua AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. Cássio Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Murilo Hames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Nunes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Teodoro Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Mendes in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Toninho Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Noel Braga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gugu Martins was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Hames in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gugu Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gugu Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Teodoro Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Larica F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
