Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilvan Freire started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Wilton Fantini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibicui SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Wilton Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Aluísio Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilvan Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aluísio Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Lauro Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilvan Freire's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Sodre EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Fantini in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aluísio Linhares saved Sodre EC from getting behind. In the 28th match minute, Ibicui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. When Ibicui SC's Marcelinho Pombal in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sodre EC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Sodre EC's Zé Paulo de Amaral got a free kick in the 34th minute. Aluísio Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Fantini in the 37th minute of play. Wilton Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Wilton Fantini put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aluísio Linhares. After the first half Ibicui SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilton Fantini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Sodre EC's Gilvan Freire in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibicui SC's goalie prevented a goal. Aluísio Linhares made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Marcelinho Pombal sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo de Amaral in the 63rd minute of play forced Ibicui SC's goalkeeper Lauro Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Linhares having to interfere. Sodre EC's Aluísio Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Fantini in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Olívio Mandrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sodre EC and the Ibicui SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Sodre EC got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Mandrak. Sodre EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wilton Fantini 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Aluísio Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aluísio Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Fantini in the 86th minute of play. Marcelinho Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Aluísio Linhares made a huge save. If Marcelinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Ibicui SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sodre EC.
