Cafu Nunes hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Grêmio's Leonardo Porto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Serafim de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nildo Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Maresia F. Club's Nildo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Romero in the 26th minute of play. Serafim de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Esteves having to interfere. If Amon Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Amon Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Maresia F. Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Amon Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Paulo Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes in the game, Amon Borges fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luís Paulo Trevisan having to interfere. In the 41st minute Serafim de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Nunes. Luís Paulo Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Zeca Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Cafu Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grêmio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
