The Cabecudas fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Cabecudas's Genílson Dracena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elivélton Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Dracena in the 16th minute of play. Túlio do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Carvalho in the 17th minute of play. Gernando Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Cabecudas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. If Kléberson Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Túlio do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Carvalho in the 22nd minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, SC Perebas's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Dracena came free, but Elivélton Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ulysses Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Genílson Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genílson Dracena in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elivélton Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Salles in the 39th minute of play forced SC Perebas's goalkeeper Elivélton Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Genílson Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabecudas's supporters rose to their feet, but Genílson Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Ulysses Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cabecudas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genílson Dracena to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Cabecudas got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Salles. If Genílson Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Ulysses Salles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Elivélton Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Cabecudas's Genílson Dracena in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Horácio Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Perebas's zone, Sandrinho de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Sabóia came out of the goal and Sandrinho de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulysses Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Elivélton Sabóia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cabecudas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
