A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Alegres SC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Prata came free, but Carlos Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cumaruma's Adolfo Vergílio in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Alegres SC's zone, Osvaldo Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Bittencourt came out of the goal and Osvaldo Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Prata took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Bittencourt. Carlos Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sabino Rocha struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Charles Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alegres SC. Leonardo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Negri having to interfere. Alegres SC's Carlos Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Vergílio in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Vergílio got free with Carlos Bittencourt in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Osvaldo Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Prata in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Bittencourt saved Alegres SC from getting behind. Alegres SC's Carlos Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Prata in the 60th minute of play. Osvaldo Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Cumaruma's Osvaldo Prata ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Bittencourt. Carlos Bittencourt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Cumaruma's William Trigo suffered a concussion in the 74th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Giuseppe Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giuseppe Barreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Cumaruma's zone, Sabino Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Negri came out of the goal and Sabino Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Leão in the 86th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Negri was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Charles Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
