Marcelo Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Doni Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Fernandez's late challenge caught a Tejupa EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Sarmento having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Tejupa EC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Viana. After 32 minutes, Gabriel Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tejupa EC and the Tadeu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tejupa EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gabriel Vander hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hílton de Alcântara during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Tejupa EC's Edinho Torres tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Tejupa EC's goalkeeper Doni Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Terra. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Nicolas Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tadeu's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Barbosa to make the kick off. Tadeu's Abel Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Tadeu from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Lúcio Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Maciel was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Tadeu's zone, Lúcio Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Maciel came out of the goal and Lúcio Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Lúcio Barbosa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Abel Maciel made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when José Paulo Martins sent off a good shot on target. Lúcio Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Maciel having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tejupa EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
