The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robinho Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Robinho Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Romeu Trancoso was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Robinho Paranaense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Robinho Paranaense really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Robinho Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Trancoso having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Alessandro Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeu Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Cavalcante got free with Romeu Trancoso in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Macunam booed when Barreado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macunam's Alessandro Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robinho Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Trancoso having to interfere. With his leg Romeu Trancoso managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Macunam's Alessandro Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alessandro Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Trancoso having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. If Robinho Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Cavalcante in the 64th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Washington Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robinho Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Barreado got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Saraiva. Fred Teles thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Romeu Trancoso, a very annoying self made goal in the 85th minute which led to 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Paranaense in the 92nd minute of play forced Barreado's goalkeeper Romeu Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macunam's Alessandro Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Macunam walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
