The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Macunam's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Simões came free, but Washington Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Tony Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macunam the free kick. After a rather tough play, Italia FC's Tony Galvão got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Italia FC defense, Emílio do Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renatinho Vander. The Italia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renatinho Vander should have stopped the shot. Renatinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Paranaense in the 10th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Edgard Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Italia FC's Renatinho Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Cavalcante in the 17th minute of play. If Edgard Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Washington Alves didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Italia FC's Edgard Simões shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When Italia FC's Edgard Simões in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macunam's goalie prevented a goal. Italia FC's Renatinho Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Cavalcante in the 31st minute of play. Renatinho Vander came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Macunam's Robinho Paranaense. But to his dismay, Robinho Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Renatinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Cavalcante in the 37th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Edgard Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Italia FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Melo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robinho Paranaense to strike the kick off in the second half. Renatinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Paranaense in the 54th minute of the match. Washington Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Júlio Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Italia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto de Amaral. Renatinho Vander made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Emílio do Vale sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Italia FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gilberto de Amaral hit a great ball. Italia FC's Renatinho Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Italia FC from getting a goal against them. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edgard Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macunam's Washington Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilberto de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Washington Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italia FC. Macunam's Washington Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto de Amaral in the 76th minute of play. Edgard Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Alves having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Alessandro Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Renatinho Vander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute Edgard Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Edgard Simões put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Washington Alves. In the 97th minute, Macunam's Alessandro Cavalcante ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renatinho Vander. Renatinho Vander yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Macunam were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Italia FC's much stronger midfield.
