Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aníbal Braga started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Eugênio Breckenfeld notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quinquelere's Alfredinho Pinho. Alfredinho Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugênio Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Pinho having to interfere. Alfredinho Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Bezerra in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinilho SS's goalkeeper Pedrinho Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute Enio Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Espinilho SS's Falcão Brodel got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Espinilho SS's zone, Aníbal Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Bittencourt came out of the goal and Aníbal Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavinho Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Pedrinho Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quinquelere. In the 31st minute Aníbal Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrinho Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Braga in the 38th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Flavinho Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telmo Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedrinho Bittencourt. Espinilho SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 59 played minutes Espinilho SS got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Massa. In the 62nd match minute, Espinilho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Massa to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Telmo Moraes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrinho Bittencourt skillfully saved the ball. Espinilho SS's Pedrinho Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Braga in the 66th minute of play. Umberto Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Espinilho SS's Ernesto Velasco tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aníbal Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Espinilho SS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ricardo Massa hit a great ball. When Flavinho Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Quinquelere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Montenegro couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Espinilho SS's Falcão Brodel got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Aníbal Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredinho Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enio Bezerra in the 91st minute. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrinho Bittencourt was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. In the 96th match minute, Espinilho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Brodel to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Espinilho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Montenegro came free, but Pedrinho Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Espinilho SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
