After a rather tough play, Matela's Mateus Valadares got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Ibiam FC defense, Cléber de Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Pernambucano. The Ibiam FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. Dudu Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Cléber de Mendonças short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Hélder Pernambucano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Matela's Mateus Valadares got a free kick in the 41st minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Nilmar Toscano made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jarbas Mota sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldinho Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matela's Nilmar Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Cardoso in the 60th minute of play. Ronaldinho Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, José Pedro Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibiam FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matela the free kick. Hélder Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Passos in the 77th minute of the match. If Serafim Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jarbas Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilmar Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Cardoso in the 95th minute of the match. When Serafim Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ibiam FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Cardoso couldn't finish the play.
