With an all-out effort, Jaguatei EC's Cido Sá threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ademir Medeiros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrão Teixeira in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrício Paraibano saved Jaguatei EC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Athletic United FC's Juan Porto got a free kick in the 14th minute. Athletic United FC's Cido Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Athletic United FC from getting a goal against them. Ademir Medeiros hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Ademir Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrão Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrício Paraibano. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademir Medeiros made a kick off. Pedrão Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fabrício Paraibano made a huge save. Pedrão Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute, Juan Porto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabrício Paraibano. The goal made the score 0-2.
