Lopei SC's Thiago Arce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Lopei SC from getting a goal against them. Elivélton Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Lopei SC's Gustavo Ferraz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elivélton Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Gustavo Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lopei SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Gunies Boys's Basílio de Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Arce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Basílio de Medeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gunies Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basílio de Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Gunies Boys got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro de Senna. If Basílio de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The Gunies Boys fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Gunies Boys's Cristian Macedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Lopei SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lopei SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gunies Boys.
