Dadá Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Fantini having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Laginha EC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Queirós. Luís Fabiano Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Conrado Mello fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laginha EC's protests and gave Conrado Mello a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Itaqui FC booed when Laginha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st match minute, Laginha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Laginha EC's Narciso Arantes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Belchior de Sennas short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Eusébio Fantini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 41st match minute, Laginha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Viana to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th match minute, Itaqui FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Lopes to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Itaqui FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Perez came free, but Eusébio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Sabino Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes of play, Laginha EC's Dadá Perez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusébio Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Aírton Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior de Senna in the 61st minute of play forced Itaqui FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior de Senna couldn't finish the play. If Belchior de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dadá Perez's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Belchior de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaqui FC's Eusébio Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Luís Fabiano Castro made a precise shot to the right of Silas França. Laginha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Laginha EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
