In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laginha EC's goalkeeper Silas França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Arantes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Belchior de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Laginha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior de Senna couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Belchior de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Belchior de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Belchior de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sydney França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belchior de Senna struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Sydney França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laginha EC. Belchior de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Macedo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silas França prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silas França made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Basílio de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Sydney França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Queirós in the 39th minute of the match. After 39 minutes, Dadá Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laginha EC and the Gunies Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Laginha EC's Dadá Perez got a free kick in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gunies Boys's Cristian Macedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silas França. That made the score 1-1 after 42 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio de Medeiros in the 47th minute of play forced Laginha EC's goalkeeper Silas França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basílio de Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. Raphael Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. 91 minutes into the match, Laginha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Macedo came free, but Silas França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Gunies Boys's goalkeeper Sydney França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Queirós. The Laginha EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laginha EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
