Serginho Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Recife was the one to do the kick off. Américo Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Soeiro in the 56th minute. If Chico Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Eduardo Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reis SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serginho Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardinho Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FLA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
