Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Váldson Pontes started the match with the kick off. Marcinho Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Farol's Dalmo de Brito suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ezequiel Ferraz's late challenge caught a Farol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Joinville getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ezequiel Ferraz hit a great ball. Kiko Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Egídio de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Joinville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Farol's goalkeeper Edgard da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio de Carvalho. Mané Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Joinville booed when Farol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Farol's Edgard da Mata got control of the ball when Egídio de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 played minutes Váldson Pontes rounded Farol's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After a rather tough play, Farol's Faustão Esteves got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Farol's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Egídio de Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Váldson Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard da Mata having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Egídio de Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.

The wind increased when Kiko Paraense made the kick off in the second half. Kiko Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Kiko Paraense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcinho Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Geovânio de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Loyola having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Paraense couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Farol's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Pontes came free, but Edgard da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Pontes in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard da Mata saved Farol from getting behind. Joinville were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Farol for a fine match.
