A collision led to Los Gaiatos FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Genílson Macedo hit a great ball. Ibicuipeba EC's Alex Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Tavares in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los Gaiatos FC's Flávio Monteiro got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fred de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute, Guto Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred de Brito made a kick off. If Luisão Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 56th minute when Fred de Brito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luisão Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Mumbach having to interfere. Luisão Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alex Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Gaiatos FC's Giovanni Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Lucas in the 94th minute of play. Giovanni Marquez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Lucas's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
