Wiliam de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Toledo having to interfere. Natã Teles hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Eriberto Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Buritirama AD got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Neto. 21 minutes into the match, Buritirama AD's Wiliam de Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gildo Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Cavalcante in the 23rd minute of the match. Diogo Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gildo Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Eriberto Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Allan Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Buritirama AD booed when Catunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam de Queiroz in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Catunda getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Simão Toledo hit a great ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catunda's goalkeeper Flávio Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Buritirama AD's Allan Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wiliam de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flávio Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiliam de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head.

In the 52nd minute Allan Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Allan Leão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buritirama AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Allan Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catunda's Flávio Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam de Queiroz in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Buritirama AD booed when Catunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Allan Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buritirama AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flávio Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Wiliam de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buritirama AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 played minutes Catunda got a freekick which was hit by Natã Teles. When Buritirama AD's Allan Leão, in the 76th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Buritirama AD. In the 78thth minute of the game Allan Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catunda's Flávio Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wiliam de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Buritirama AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
