A collision led to Auler getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Leopoldo Machado hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Leblon SC defense, Rômulo Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandão Amorim. The Leblon SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandão Amorim should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Pinheiro in the 8th minute of play forced Auler's goalkeeper Válter Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuri Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrício Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caio de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Auler's Eusébio Nogueira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leblon SC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Nogueira during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Auler:s Válter Rosado showed great skill when he stopped Perivaldo Cardoso:s penalty. 22 minutes into the match, Auler's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Barros came free, but Válter Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Auler got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Mineiro. Válter Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Barros in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Leblon SC got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Cardoso. 38 minutes into the game, one of Auler:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Leblon SC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Perivaldo Cardoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Auler's Válter Rosado. 1-1. In the 44th minute Davi Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Bezerra hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Davi Maciel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernandão Amorim. Davi Maciel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davi Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. Iuri Pinheiro succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 59 minutes into the match, Auler's goalkeeper Válter Rosado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iuri Pinheiro. Fabrício Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Válter Rosado came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabrício Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 65th minute. Auler's Válter Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Barros in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Leblon SC's Fabrício Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Rosado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Leblon SC's zone, Rômulo Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Amorim came out of the goal and Rômulo Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Britto in the 83rd minute of play forced Leblon SC's goalkeeper Fernandão Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Amorim having to interfere. The supporters of Leblon SC booed when Auler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandão Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Britto in the 94th minute of the match. The Leblon SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leblon SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
