After recieving a nice pass, Quarahim SC's Wilton Ribeiro tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Nelson Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Diniz in the 8th minute of play forced Caracarai EC's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Caracarai EC's Duda Zanette got a free kick in the 8th minute. Caracarai EC's Rodriguinho Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Caracarai EC from getting a goal against them. After 15 played minutes, Caracarai EC's Luiz Fernando Paraense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emerson Velloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caracarai EC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Maranhense in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emerson Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michel Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Velloso having to interfere. In the 26th minute Michel Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Michel Maranhense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emerson Velloso was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Cesinha Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nelson Sabóia took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Perez. Rodriguinho Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cesinha Koehler hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Caracarai EC's Rodriguinho Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Diniz in the 37th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Paraense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emerson Velloso. Quarahim SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Quarahim SC's Germano Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodriguinho Perez. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. In the 46th minute, Germano Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Quarahim SC booed when Caracarai EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Caracarai EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Diniz came free, but Rodriguinho Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Duda Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Nelson Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quarahim SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Nelson Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute José Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emerson Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michel Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. Caracarai EC's attentive Luiz Gustavo Sena managed to snatch the ball when Umberto Medeiros made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. José Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Quarahim SC's José Diniz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 75 minutes into the match, Caracarai EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Sabóia came free, but Rodriguinho Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Diniz in the 76th minute of the match. Nelson Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Cesinha Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Couto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Michel Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caracarai EC's Duda Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Quarahim SC had won after a very even match.
