The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Ezequiel Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Triumfo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Ezequiel Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tapiramuta's Benedito Schmidt got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dedé Rezende in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Leme saved Tapiramuta from getting behind. If Ezequiel Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Bittencourt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donato Leme having to make a save. After having played for 36 minutes, Dedé Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triumfo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Tony Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapiramuta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triumfo the free kick. The supporters of Triumfo booed when Tapiramuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Dedé Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapiramuta's Donato Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Bittencourt in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Tapiramuta's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Rezende came free, but Donato Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felippe da Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Sousa in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dedé Rezende to make the kick off. Triumfo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tapiramuta getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Benedito Schmidt hit a great ball. If Ezequiel Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tapiramuta's Cássio Santana got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Donato Leme made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ezequiel Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Triumfo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
