The referee ignored Club São Bento's protests and gave Diamantino Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Calaça Games F.C booed when Club São Bento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabino Sá lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Agenor Saraiva had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Marcus Ortiz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Agenor Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Agenor Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Zanette in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armindo Correia during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute Serafim de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agenor Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Club São Bento got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Correia. In the 23rd minute, João Adolfo Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, João Adolfo Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fernando de Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 31st minute, Marcus Ortiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Agenor Saraiva. The goal made the score 1-1. A collision led to Calaça Games F.C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Genílson Zanette hit a great ball. Mário da Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Agenor Saraiva made a huge save. Serafim de Brito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Agenor Saraiva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Simões got free with Agenor Saraiva in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafim de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agenor Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Club São Bento's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim de Brito came free, but Agenor Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Serafim de Brito made the kick off in the second half. Club São Bento's Agenor Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim de Brito in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Mário da Rocha threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club São Bento's Manoel de Godoy quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Valdomiro Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If João Adolfo Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serafim de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 minutes of play, Calaça Games F.C's Serafim de Brito made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agenor Saraiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 played minutes Calaça Games F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Toledo. 77 minutes into the match, Club São Bento's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim de Brito came free, but Agenor Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Club São Bento's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Simões came free, but Agenor Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club São Bento's Diogo Toledo got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Calaça Games F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
