Erivaldo Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botuquara EC. In the 18th minute, Aleandro Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Erivaldo Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Felipe da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Erivaldo Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe da Cunha in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Aleandro Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luiz Fernando Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AVIVADOS FC's Erivaldo Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleandro Lopez in the 35th minute of play. Chico Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Romário Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 45th minute, when AVIVADOS FC's Giuseppe Viana after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Romário Brito in Botuquara EC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The AVIVADOS FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Botuquara EC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Felipe da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Aleandro Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erivaldo Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aleandro Lopez sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in AVIVADOS FC's zone, Felipe da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Bertassi came out of the goal and Felipe da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Botuquara EC's Aleandro Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubens Marques during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erivaldo Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Botuquara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Esteves came free, but Romário Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleandro Lopez got free with Erivaldo Bertassi in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Felipe da Cunha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Chants of Botuquara EC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as AVIVADOS FC had held the ball for most of the match.
