After 17 minutes, Paulo Renato Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suculovers FC and the Gica Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Suculovers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gica Futebol Clube the free kick. A hard shot by Válter Ramalho from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Marcus Senna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Josué Lucas hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Geovânio Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Suculovers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio Miranda couldn't finish the play. Radomil Cwynar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Josué Lucas made the kick off in the second half. If José Pedro Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radomil Cwynar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Radomil Cwynar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Cardozo in the 54th minute of the match. Gica Futebol Clube's Radomil Cwynar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Gica Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Geovânio Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Cwynar having to interfere. Josué Lucas scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexsandro Mendes lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 73 minutes into the game, one of Suculovers FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Reginaldo Teles hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If José Pedro Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gica Futebol Clube's zone, Geovânio Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomil Cwynar came out of the goal and Geovânio Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Geovânio Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suculovers FC's protests and gave Geovânio Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. José Pedro Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Gica Futebol Clube could leave the field as winners, despite Suculovers FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
