Nildo Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. João Vítor Alagoano came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Sodre EC's Paulão Marinho. But to his dismay, Paulão Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Juvenal Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nildo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nelson Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agiota SS's João Vítor Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Xavier in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Sodre EC got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Marinho. Nildo Reis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pedro Paulo Faustino. The audience was convinced that Horácio Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Reis was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. João Vítor Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Paulão Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but João Vítor Alagoano made a huge save. Nildo Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Leal in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Fernandinho Carvalho got a very nice opportunity to score, but João Vítor Alagoano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 76th minute of the match Pedro Paulo Faustino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nildo Reis skillfully saved the ball. João Vítor Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Vânderson Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Agiota SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Sodre EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
