After 8 played minutes Toritama got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Tinoco. When Gilvan Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Reriutaba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Arruda couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Gilvan Arruda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovani Baptista. The goal made the score 1-0. After 17 played minutes Reriutaba SC got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Lopez. After recieving a nice pass, Toritama's Anselmo Travassos tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Toritama got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Tinoco. Gilvan Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Baptista having to interfere. Albertinho Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Serafim Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
