Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denílson Pereira took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Tigres do Rio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Albuquerque came free, but Emanuel de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fábio Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes, Luisinho Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pombal FC and the Tigres do Rio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pombal FC's Luisinho Pimenta got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Pombal FC booed when Tigres do Rio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Albuquerque in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Jeferson Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Pombal FC's goalkeeper Marcel Araújo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fábio Marques. Elano Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Emanuel de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Tigres do Rio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Albuquerque came free, but Emanuel de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel de Moraes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Pombal FC's Elano Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Elano Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 44 played minutes Pombal FC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Vander. Denílson Pereira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Araújo came out and tried to block the shot, but Denílson Pereira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano Albuquerque stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Pombal FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Eger. Elano Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel de Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Kléber Seco struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Emanuel de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pombal FC. Elano Albuquerque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Emanuel de Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 61 minutes, Elano Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pombal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elano Albuquerque's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Emanuel de Moraes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Kléber Seco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Elano Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Pombal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elano Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Kléber Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pombal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Elano Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pombal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal FC's zone, Luís Fábio Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Araújo came out of the goal and Luís Fábio Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Paulo José Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denílson Pereira in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Araújo saved Pombal FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Pombal FC defense, Luís Fábio Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Araújo. The Pombal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Araújo should have stopped the shot. After 87 played minutes Tigres do Rio FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Figueiredo. After a defensive mix-up in Tigres do Rio FC's zone, Elano Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel de Moraes came out of the goal and Elano Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Kléber Seco made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel de Moraes. Tigres do Rio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Elano Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel de Moraes having to make a save. When Luís Fábio Marques came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Tigres do Rio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Marques couldn't finish the play. Pombal FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
