Zeca de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuca Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Juvi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zézinho de Queirós fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 10 minutes, Rubinho Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juvi and the Caioba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes Juvi got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Moura. Zeca de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caetano Santos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes Juvi got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Vander. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca de Souza in the 23rd minute of play forced Juvi's goalkeeper Samuca Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Samuca Rocha made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Zézinho de Queirós sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes, Thomás Favoretto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juvi and the Caioba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, one of Juvi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Juvi. The goalkeeper, Samuca Rocha, was totally fooled by Caioba's Dráuzio Santana, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 42nd minute Zeca de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Juvi's Dorival Vander got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Zeca de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caioba's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeca de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. When Caetano Santos fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caioba's protests and gave Caetano Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute Zézinho de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juvi's goalkeeper Samuca Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Zézinho de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caioba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuca Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca de Souza in the 67th minute of the match. Zeca de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Rocha having to interfere. Samuca Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Samuca Rocha didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Caioba's Zézinho de Queirós shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeca de Souza in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuca Rocha saved Juvi from getting behind. Zézinho de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Rocha having to interfere. Samuca Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeca de Souza's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Caioba's Chiquinho Azevedo got a free kick in the 89th minute. Samuca Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Caioba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
