Chicão Mota's late challenge caught a Cabeleira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chicão Mota helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Aquidaban's Chicão Mota got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 5 minutes, João Vítor Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabeleira's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If João Vítor Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Falcão Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Chicão Mota took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tadeu Zilles to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Cabeleira's Tadeu Zilles got control of the ball when Baltazar Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Aquidaban's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Ferreira came free, but Júlio de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aníbal Faria fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aquidaban's protests and gave Aníbal Faria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Aquidaban was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Faria to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Cabeleira's Falcão Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Cabeleira's goalkeeper Tadeu Zilles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Ferreira. In the 35th minute Chicão Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Aquidaban's Chicão Mota dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Falcão Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Toledo in the 60th minute of play. Cabeleira's Patrício Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elói Guedes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes Cabeleira got a freekick which was hit by Patrício Toledo. 73 minutes into the game, Sydney Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabeleira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aquidaban the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cabeleira's Sydney Ferreira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Tadeu Zilles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltazar Mendonça went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Cabeleira's João Vítor Ferreira got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedito Vander during the 82nd minute. Júlio de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aquidaban fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cabeleira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
