Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristóvão Palmeira started the match with the kick off. Providencia FC's Inácio Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Providencia FC from getting a goal against them. Cristóvão Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. Inácio Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Palmeira in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Norberto Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Providencia FC's Inácio Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Palmeira in the 21st minute of play. Nildo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. In the 24th minute Cristóvão Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Providencia FC's Zé Roberto Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 36th minute Cristóvão Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Fontes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Inácio Araújo. Providencia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Nildo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Pirani scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Providencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Palmeira came free, but Inácio Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Roberto Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. If Custódio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquinhos Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Régis Urbano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inácio Araújo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tarcisio Favoretto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Arósio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dida Leão. Zé Roberto Arósio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nildo Pirani in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Providencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Pirani came free, but Inácio Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Nildo Pirani notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Providencia FC's Inácio Araújo. Inácio Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Providencia FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Rocha hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Sorocaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Donatello to maneuver through the defense. If Cristóvão Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sorocaba's Kléberson Perez got a free kick in the 94th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
